What I Do
What is an accurate narrative and why do I need one? Maybe you feel that something isn’t right, or you’re concerned that your instincts keep leading you a merry dance. Either way, perhaps it is time to address the narrative you hold about yourself - could it be brought up to date, or made more accurate? We could be curious about why we don’t feel we are enough, why we mess things up, why we try to keep everyone happy. Perhaps you’ve spent so much time merely getting through you’ve never stopped to wonder how you do it? Is it time to update your emotional C.V?
I’ll help you notice or re-establish who you are and what you’re doing. I am a registered therapist (MBACP) and a qualified teacher (B.Ed. Hons). Using face-to-face, walking and online therapy, I help people raise self-awareness, enhance wellbeing, and build stronger connections in their relationships. I might specifically support people coming to terms with ADHD pre and post diagnosis, or work with trauma and how it affects the body. I address anxious thoughts and their origin, and explore beliefs from the past and how they show up today.
I may start with someone who appears fine on the outside but feels differently on the inside. What brings you may be known or unknown, specific or undefined. What is important is that there is an outcome where we feel closer to an authentic version of ourselves, inside and out, that we can live with.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you get in touch. I strongly believe that an accurate narrative is necessary, and change is about exploring and discovering who you truly are - part by part - with intention, rather than trying to shape yourself into an idealised version for someone else. If you think I’m the right fit for you and you’re ready, you can contact me here.
